CLARENCE D. BAUZA

Mr. Clarence Duane Bauza of Nashville, IL departed this life at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in O’Fallon, IL on Wednesday, September 27, 2023, at 5:13 P.M.  He had attained the age of 79 years and 6 days.

Clarence was born on September 21, 1944, in Posen, IL, the son of Leo J. and Anna K. (Piasecki) Bauza.  He was united in marriage to Joyce Hoffman on September 16, 1967, at St. Charles Catholic Church in DuBois, IL and she survives his passing.

Clarence was a lifelong dairy farmer and enjoyed the farming seasons in the spring and fall.  He was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Posen, IL where he was involved with the Holy Name Society, and he was a member of the Knights of Columbus.  Clarence had an interest in Native American History and loved his grandchildren dearly.

Left to mourn his passing is his wife Joyce Bauza of Nashville, IL; 4 children, Kim Gill and husband Larry, Kelly Bauza and wife Valerie, Clint Bauza and wife Stefanie and Chris Bauza all of Nashville, IL; 11 grandchildren, Logan (Jaci) Gill, Lacey (Austin) Edge, Cody ( girlfriend Cassie), Brayden, Mackenzie, Anna, Nolen, Brody, Bryar, Bella and Blythe Bauza; 1 great grandchild, Sloane and one on the way; brother, Mike Bauza; brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, grandson, Chase Michael Bauza and 3 brothers, Alois, Floyd and Leo Bauza.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at the Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Posen, IL on Tuesday, October 3, 2023, at 10 AM with Fr. Andy Knopik officiating.  Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

Friends may call at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Posen, IL on Monday from 5 P.M. until 8 P.M. and on Tuesday from 8 A.M. until the service hour. The rosary will be recited at the church on Monday at 7:45 P.M.

Should friends desire, mass offerings or memorials can be made to the Our Lady of Perpetual Cemetery or St. Ann School and will be accepted by the Campagna Funeral Home, who is assisting the family with arrangements.
