    Community Center of Nashville Homecoming Barbecue Cook-off

    Community Center of Nashville presents the annual Homecoming and Barbecue Cook-off on Saturday, Oct. 5 The outdoor event is from 2 p.m. to midnight, and it features cook-off and tasting starting at 2 p.m. There is a bags tournament, 50/50 drawing and  by Hicks and Banks at 8 p.m.

    Cost is $15 per ticket and rinks available for purchase.

Area crafters and artisans will sell their unique goods, and delicious food will be available for purchase. Throughout the day, you can enjoy live music, pontoon boat tours, pony & hay rides, Kidz Korner crafts and much more. We will also host a Quilt Raffle and an Upscale Resale Shop!

    The proceeds from the raffle and resale shop, as well as the various activities, will benefit DuBois Center and our programs.

    Nashville Community High School will celebrate its homecoming October 7th – 12th.  NCHS Student Council members have been busy since the beginning of school planning for this event.  This year’s theme is “Welcome to the Jungle.”  On Friday, October 11, 2019, the homecoming parade will take place through downtown Nashville at 1:00 p.m.  Local businesses and community members are encouraged to participate in the parade.  If you are interested, please contact Christina Robinson at the high school by calling 327-8286 ext. 317 by Friday, October 4, 2019.  Another highlight to the homecoming festivities is the football game. Please join us in supporting the NCHS Hornets as they take on the Pinckneyville Panthers.  The homecoming queen coronation ceremony will also take place Friday night during half-time.
